Leading Change Institute

The K-State 2025 Strategic Plan for the Staley School of Leadership Studies states that our times demand that we lead boldly, wisely, confidently. To help answer that call the Staley School will host Leading Change Institutes to harness creative, collaborative thinking from globally recognized leaders addressing real issues with tangible strategies for moving forward. Leading Change Institute themes will initially focus on:

  • Universities and Social Change
  • Global Food Security

Leading Change Institutes will harness creative, collaborative thinking from globally recognized leaders addressing real issues with tangible strategies for moving forward. They will feature weeklong gatherings of thought leaders centered on an issue relating to one of these common themes. The week will include flexibility to think in large or small groups, in pairs, or individually. The intent of the Leading Change Institutes is to create space for the conversations that will yield clear and tangible impacts.

Participants will represent diverse perspectives from around the world, coming from applied, academic, and policy circles in the private and nonprofit sectors. The challenges addressed in the institutes cannot be solved in one year, so topics will be repeated on a rotation.

The Leading Change Institute at Kansas State Universtiy is supported by the David and Ellie Everitt Endowment for the Leading Change Institutes.
