Biographical Info
Travis’ educational interests include topics in the fields of Communication Studies, Geography, and History. His Bachelor's degree was a dual degree in secondary education with an emphasis in social science and speech/theatre. He followed that up by moving into the Speech Communication Master's program at KSU (since renamed the Department of Communication Studies) and wrote his thesis on Major League Baseball's Hall of Fame Induction Speeches. Finally, Travis’ terminal degree is in Geography where his dissertation studied place imagery in Western film.
