Patricia Ackerman, associate professor of arts, sciences and business, was invited to the "A Room of Her Own" writing retreat in Abiquiu, N.M., Aug. 10-16. She will join women authors from across the United States in professional development workshops and personal writing pursuits. Participants also will meet individually with published authors to review specific written works in progress.
