ANNOUNCEMENT: The new Kansas State University presidential community visit initiative kicks off with the first community visit on Thursday, Sept. 1, in the Flint Hills region of Riley, Pottawatomie and Geary counties.
Media are invited to attend the community open forum from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, at the Hilton Garden Inn, Manhattan Conference Center, 410 S. Third St., Manhattan.
At the community open forum, K-State President Richard Linton and K-State students will host a dialogue about university and community connections and the student experience. A focus will be on the future of enhancing the successful partnerships and relationships with communities that comprise the Flint Hills region.
The new presidential community visit initiative focuses on the people of Kansas and their communities. Every academic year, K-State will visit nine communities throughout the state to listen and learn from the Kansans who live there. Read the recent news release for more information.
ARRANGEMENTS: There will be a reserved section for media at the open forum. If you plan to attend the open forum, you must email media@k-state.edu or call 785-532-2535 by noon Tuesday, Aug. 30, to reserve a seat.
