Students selected for K-State Undergraduate Research Amplification Project

Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024

MANHATTAN — Scholar Development and Undergraduate Research at Kansas State University has selected 10 students who will be funded to conduct research with a faculty mentor for the 2024-2025 academic year.

The Undergraduate Research Amplification Project provides selected students with $1,000 per semester to support their mentored research efforts. To qualify, students must identify a potential research mentor and commit to participating in six to 10 hours of research-related work per week. They must also be in good academic standing and have shown effort to secure other funding.

The project is funded by the K-State Student Governing Association's Tuition Enhancements Committee. These funds aim to serve students performing research in areas that lack access to funding.

The selected cohort of students will benefit from advising by staff in Scholar Development and Undergraduate Research, professional development events and small group events with peer researchers. All cohort members are required to present their findings at the Spring Campuswide Undergraduate Research Symposium on April 15, 2025.
