JOHNSON COUNTY RESIDENT DEBBIE KIRCHHOFF DIRECTING DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS AT K-STATE'S NEW OLATHE CAMPUS

MANHATTAN -- The Kansas State University Foundation has appointed Debbie Kirchhoff as director of development at K-State Olathe, a satellite campus of Kansas State University.

Kirchhoff, Olathe, has lived in Johnson County most of her life. Prior to coming to K-State, she served as major gift director for the University of Missouri-Kansas City's College of Arts and Sciences. She has also served in development director and executive director positions at nonprofit organizations in the Greater Kansas City area, including the Kansas Children's Service League, Sunshine Center School, and Safehome.

Kirchhoff earned the Certified Fundraising Executive designation from CFRE International. She is active in a number of professional organizations, including the Association of Fundraising Professionals, where she serves on the board of directors as president. She earned her bachelor's degree in business from Kansas State University and her master of business administration from Mid-America Nazarene University in Olathe.

The grand opening of K-State Olathe is Tuesday, April 26, and starts with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 1 p.m., with an open house for the public to follow until 7 p.m.

Philanthropic contributions to K-State are coordinated by the Kansas State University Foundation. The foundation staff works with university partners to build lifelong relationships with alumni, friends, faculty, staff and students through involvement and investment in the university.
