MANHATTAN -- Cultural events are in bloom during May at Kansas State University. The month's various performances wrap up the 2012 spring semester.
The following events, all free unless otherwise indicated, are sponsored by the department of music, dance program, department of English and Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art. They include:
* "Earl Iversen: Friends of the Beach Museum of Art Gift Print Artist" is on display through May 20 at the Beach Museum of Art. Come gain a new perspective of the Kansas landscape, natural and built, through the lens of Iversen's camera.
* "Tallgrass TV: Sam Easterson's Tribute to the Konza Prairie" runs through June 10 at the Beach Museum of Art. The exhibition includes a variety of animal-borne imaging videos to show an animal's perspective on the world. The exhibition also features still photos and taxidermy displays.
* "Yoshiro Ikeda: Quiet Symmetry," an exhibition of ceramic art, is on display through Sept. 2 at the Beach Museum of Art. The exhibition honors the works of K-State's Ikeda, a retiring university distinguished professor of art.
