Virtuoso of violin: Itzhak Perlman performs April 21 at McCain

MANHATTAN -- Itzhak Perlman, described as the "reigning virtuoso of the violin," will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 21, in Kansas State University's McCain Auditorium as part of the McCain Performance Series.
Perlman enjoys a superstar status rarely attained by a classical musician, and is renowned throughout the world for his remarkable artistry and joy in making music.
He has received numerous honors and awards. He performed at the inauguration of President Barack Obama in 2009. In 2003, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts awarded him a Kennedy Center Honor, celebrating his distinguished achievements and contributions to the cultural and educational life of the nation.
