Political science department awards undergraduate scholarships

MANHATTAN — Thirteen Kansas State University students are recipients of scholarships from Kansas State University's political science department.
The scholarships were awarded at the department's annual awards ceremony on April 17. The department awarded $19,300 in undergraduate scholarships, with amounts ranging from $500 to $3,000.
"The political science department is honored to support the scholarly endeavors of such outstanding Kansas State University students," said Jeffrey Pickering, professor and head of the department.
Scholarship recipients, all majoring in political science, include:
Ciara Chambers, junior from Derby, Rieger-McCrery Scholarship; Elizabeth Reichenberger, senior from De Soto, Dennis K. Tapsak Memorial Scholarship; Deanna Milligan, sophomore from Garden City, Donald R. Hill Scholarship.
From Greater Kansas City: Kathlyn Daniels, senior from Gardner, Orma Linford Scholarship; Sierra Lekie, sophomore from Lenexa, Richter Family "Beyond the Campus" Scholarship; Eleanor Dickens, senior, Joseph Hajda Student Scholarship, and Monet Straub, junior Reba L. Cobb Memorial Scholarship for Outstanding Women in Political Science Scholarship, both from Overland Park; and Abigail Hoelting, junior from Shawnee, Jon David Wagner Scholarship.
Kristin Conley, sophomore from Gypsum, Edward Allen McCoy Jr. Memorial Scholarship; Morgan Wills, senior from Liberal, Edward Allen McCoy Jr. Memorial Scholarship; Brodie Herrman, junior from Manhattan, Louis H. Douglas Scholarship; and Kyle Klucas, sophomore from Silver Lake, Don and Marian Button Political Science Scholarship.
From out of state: Mackenzie Mong, junior from Littleton, Colo., Barbara Meyer Scholarship in Political Science.
