MANHATTAN — Discover the music of something beginning when "Ragtime" comes to Kansas State University's McCain Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14, as part of the McCain Performance Series.
The musical gives audiences a look into the lives of an upper-class wife, a determined Jewish immigrant and a daring young Harlem musician, all united by their desire for and belief in a brighter tomorrow. Set in turn-of-the century New York, "Ragtime" is a coming-of-age story of love and loss.
Directed and choreographed by Marcia Milgrom Dodge and produced by the team that brought audiences "The Addams Family," "Spamalot," "Rock of Ages" and "The Color Purple," "Ragtime" includes the Tony Award-winning score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens.
Tickets for "Ragtime" start at $14.50, plus applicable taxes and fees, and are available now at the McCain Auditorium box office, online at k-state.edu/mccain or by calling 785-532-6428.
