K-STATE DEVELOPS NEW 2+2 PARTNERSHIP WITH FORT SCOTT COMMUNITY COLLEGE

MANHATTAN -- Kansas State University and Fort Scott Community College recently formed a 2+2 partnership and developed their first 2+2 agreement.

The agreement allows students in the Fort Scott area to remain in their community while obtaining a K-State bachelor's degree. Students can earn an associate degree in general business from Fort Scott and then transfer the credits to K-State to earn a bachelor's in general business through distance education.

"This is a great way for working adults in the community to complete a bachelor's degree through distance education," said Dave Stewart, assistant dean of continuing education at K-State.

Fort Scott is the 13th in-state institution to develop a 2+2 partnership with K-State, and the Fort Scott agreement marks K-State's 40th 2+2 agreement with community colleges across Kansas.
