K-STATE HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT STUDENTS EARN SCHOLARSHIPS FROM WICHITA CHAPTER OF THE AMERICAN INSTITUTE OF WINE AND FOOD
MANHATTAN -- The Wichita chapter of the American Institute of Wine and Food has awarded more than $5,000 in scholarships to hospitality management students at Kansas State University.
The K-State students garnered more than half of the chapter's 2009 scholarship money statewide.
The students, all hospitality management majors, and their scholarship amount include: Juan Carlos Mendoza, senior, Garden City, $1,500; Brett Engleman, freshman, Great Bend, $750; Robert Tibbetts, senior, Liberal, $1,000; Alisha Ernst, senior, Prairie Village, $1,000; and Shannon Rowe, senior, Wichita, $1,000.
K-State's hospitality management program is offered through the department of hospitality management and dietetics in the College of Human Ecology.
