K-STATE OFFERING DAY CAMP DURING THE FIRST TWO WEEKS OF AUGUST
MANHATTAN -- Kansas State University's Youth Health Behavior Research Laboratory is sponsoring a day camp to encourage kids to get out and get active this summer.
The third annual L.I.F.E. 4 Kids Day Camp runs Aug. 3-7 and Aug. 10-14 and is for children in grades 3-6. The camp runs from 8 a.m. to noon each day in K-State’s Ahearn Field House.
"During the camp there will be games, theme days, music and lots of fun," said Casey Weber, a master's student in food science, Manhattan, who is also a research associate with the Youth Health Behavior Research Laboratory. "The children will have a chance to take part in a wide variety of activities while making new friends."
Children attending the camp also receive a daily snack and a T-shirt.
Parents who enroll their children in a study conducted by the Youth Health Behavior Research Laboratory at the camp will qualify for a reduced camp rate; campers will only take part in the study if signed up to do so.
