College of Business Administration student from Topeka a new Cargill Global Scholar

MANHATTAN — Kylie Hardman, a sophomore in human resource management at Kansas State University's College of Business Administration, has been selected as a Cargill Global Scholar for the 2014 academic year.
"This is a really fantastic opportunity that I hope to gain a lot from," Hardman said. "I've already met so many amazing people through Cargill and the Institute of International Education. I can learn so much from their experiences of traveling around the world and the various leadership programs they offer."
As a Cargill Global Scholar, Hardman joins a global network of high performing undergraduate students who are given the opportunity to develop leadership competencies through training modules, mentoring and coaching by Cargill employees, and learning and networking opportunities with Cargill businesses.
From Topeka, Hardman is minoring in conflict analysis and trauma studies. She is involved in the Society for Human Resources Management, where she was part of a team that won the Southwest Regional Case Competition earlier this year. That victory sent her and her teammates to the National SHRM conference in Orlando this past June. She works on campus as a human resources assistant with the K-State Student Union. Hardman is a 2013 graduate of Topeka High School.
