Single tickets go on sale July 27 for McCain's 2014-2015 season; discount offered

MANHATTAN — What's better than seeing great entertainers like Straight No Chaser, Wynton Marsalis, William Shatner, Garrison Keillor and more perform live?
Pocketing some savings for doing so, which happens Sunday, July 27, at the McCain Performance Series' Super Saver Sunday Single Ticket Sale at 2 p.m. in Forum Hall at the K-State Student Union.
The event offers fun for all ages. Visitors will get a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming McCain Performance Series; watch a presentation by Todd Holmberg, McCain Auditorium executive director; meet members of the McCain staff; enjoy some free food; and get the chance to win free tickets to upcoming McCain shows.
McCain is even offering a way to receive a 15 percent discount on individual tickets by bringing in the special Super Saver Sunday flyer, available for download on McCain Auditorium's Facebook page and also in the Sunday, July 27, edition of the Manhattan Mercury. Please note that the discount does not apply to certain presentations.
Can't make it to McCain's Super Saver Sunday event? You can still purchase single tickets when they go on sale at 2 p.m. July 27. Tickets are available by calling the McCain box office at 785-532-6428 or online at http://www.k-state.edu/mccain. But the 15 percent discount will only be available at the Super Saver Sunday event at Forum Hall.
"This season's McCain Performance Series may have the most exciting lineup ever with the very top shows in a multitude of genres," Holmberg said.
In the McCain spotlight this season will be Tony Award-winning hits like "Anything Goes" and "Peter and the Starcatcher." Rounding out the Broadway hits will be "Elf: The Broadway Musical," "Sister Act" and "Million Dollar Quartet." Well-known celebrities like Larry The Cable Guy, William Shatner and Grammy Award-winning country artist LeAnn Rimes also will be performing. Other headliners include Straight No Chaser, Garrison Keillor, Wynton Marsalis, Michael Feinstein, Buddy Guy and Yo-Yo Ma. A wide variety of music, dance, theatre and family friendly attractions from around the world also will take the stage.
