Mechanical engineering graduates earn honors

MANHATTAN — Six spring 2015 graduating seniors in mechanical engineering have been honored by their department at Kansas State University.
Each semester, graduating seniors are nominated for special recognition by faculty members in the department of mechanical and nuclear engineering. Nominated students submit their resumes for faculty review, and then a final vote is conducted to select the Most Outstanding Senior, four Outstanding Seniors, and one recipient of the Leadership and Service Award.
Winning students are announced and receive an award plaque from the department at a graduating senior celebration held near the end of each fall and spring semester.
The following mechanical engineering graduates earned honors:
Sydney Schinstock, Manhattan, Outstanding Senior; Beth Bowman, Overland Park, Leadership and Service Award; Taylor Ochs, Russell, Outstanding Senior; Theodore Augustine, Salina, Outstanding Senior; and Alan Duong, Wichita, Outstanding Senior.
From out of country: Andres Martinez Guerra, Santa Ana, Costa Rica, Most Outstanding Senior.
