Police identify deceased K-State student
MANHATTAN — Police have identified the student deceased from suicide on July 5 on the Manhattan campus.
At 9:19 a.m. on Tuesday, July 5, the Kansas State University Police Department responded to a call regarding concern for a resident at the Jardine Apartment Complex. Upon arrival, officers found Justin Brickey, senior in engineering from Kansas City, outside one of the apartment buildings. The male student subsequently suffered a fatal, self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The Kansas State University Office of Student Life and Counseling Services are offering counseling and assistance to students and employees affected by Brickey’s death.

MANHATTAN — The Kansas State University Police Department is currently investigating the July 5 suicide of a K-State student at the Jardine Apartment Complex on the Manhattan campus.
The investigation is ongoing and the name of the student is not being released pending notification of family.
