K-STATE'S BEACH MUSEUM CUTTING BACK ITS HOURS, CLOSING FOR JULY 4 HOLIDAY
MANHATTAN -- Beginning July 2, Kansas State University's Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art will close at 5 p.m. on Thursdays.
"Due to budget constraints the museum is reducing its hours on Thursdays," said Lorne Render, museum director.
The museum has been open until 8 p.m. on Thursdays for several years to allow patrons more time to take in its exhibitions.
The museum also will be closed July 3-5 for the Independence Day weekend.
For more information, contact the Beach Museum of Art's Martha Scott at 785-532-7718 or drop by the museum on the southeast corner of the K-State campus at 14th Street and Anderson Avenue. Free visitor parking is available next to the building. As of July 1, normal museum hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays. The museum is closed Mondays.
