K-STATE HAVING FIRST MILITARY AND VETERANS CAMPUS VISIT DAY JULY 17
MANHATTAN -- Kansas State University's first Military and Veterans Campus Visit Day will be 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, July 17, at the K-State Student Union.
The special day is for military members, veterans and military family members interested in pursuing the continuation of their education. Participants will receive academic advisement, information about financial aid and military education benefits, find out about K-State student services and receive personal assistance with admissions and enrollment. Campus tours and a panel discussion with current military and veteran students also are being offered to help prospective students find out about what K-State has to offer.
"K-State recognizes the increased interest of our military community in pursuing advanced education at K-State and is responding in a focused way to help soldiers, veterans and military family members join the K-State family as students," said retired Army Lt. Col. Art DeGroat, K-State's director of military affairs. "I am truly eager for our military guests to see how inclusive K-State is of our nation's military members and families."
Registration is required by Tuesday, July 7, and can be done by calling 800-432-8270 or at http://consider.k-state.edu/specialevents/militaryvisit.htm
