Small fire extinguished in Willard Hall

MANHATTAN — A small fire occurred Sunday afternoon in Willard Hall at Kansas State University.
At 3:23 p.m. on Sunday, March 29, the Manhattan Fire Department responded to reports of smoke coming from room 318 on the third floor of Willard Hall. Fire officials quickly extinguished the fire, which was confined to a small area.
Riley County Emergency Medical Services treated a student for a small burn to the hand. The student was released on scene.
The fire’s cause is under investigation.
