MANHATTAN -- The party musical "Rock of Ages" will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, in McCain Auditorium at Kansas State University.
The show, part of the McCain Performance Series, features 28 of the most recognizable songs from the '80s, including "Don't Stop Believin'," "We Built This City" and "The Final Countdown."
"Rock of Ages" takes the audience back to 1987, when a small-town girl meets a big city rock star on the Sunset Strip and follows as they fall in love to the greatest hits of the '80s in L.A.'s most famous rock club.
This musical was nominated for multiple Tony Awards in 2009, and uses the hits of Journey, REO Speedwagon, Poison and many more to tell a rock 'n' roll love story about dreaming big, playing loud and partying on.
Tickets are $22.50-$55, plus applicable taxes and fees, and can be purchased at the McCain Auditorium box office, by phone at 785-532-6428 or online at http://www.k-state.edu/mccain.
