Management Information Systems Club awards $6,500 in scholarships

MANHATTAN — Kansas State University's Management Information Systems Club has awarded five scholarships totaling $6,500. ConocoPhillips and Phillips 66 donated the scholarship funds.
The club's executive committee, under the direction of the faculty advisor Michael Chilton, associate professor of management, reviewed applications for the scholarships and selected the recipients based on academic achievement, club involvement and other criteria.
The following students, all management information systems majors, are recipients of scholarships from the Management Information Systems Club:
Jaclyn Long, senior from Lawrence, $1,500 scholarship; Jacob Kipp, senior from Manhattan, $750 scholarship; Brett Sherbert, senior in from Wakefield, $1,000 scholarship; Marshall Wethington, sophomore from Wamego, $1,250 scholarship; and Anne Feldkamp, senior from Wichita, $2,000 scholarship.
In addition to these scholarships, ConocoPhillips also provided an additional $2,000 for two diversity scholarships. The club will award these in the fall.
