MEDIA ARRANGEMENTS FOR LANDON LECTURE BY KATHLEEN SEBELIUS
LECTURER: Kathleen Sebelius, secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, will speak at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 29, in Kansas State University's McCain Auditorium.
NEWS MEDIA PARKING: *NO* reserved parking spaces will be available for the lecture. Free parking is available by using your K-State media parking pass, which is good for any outside nonreserved or nonhandicap student or faculty/staff parking space. Please note that parking in a reserved or handicap space can result in a parking fine or the wheel-locking or towing of your vehicle. If you do not have a media parking pass, please contact K-State news services at media@k-state.edu or 785-532-2535 several days in advance of the lecture to arrange for one. Other parking options include the K-State parking garage, 17th Street and Anderson Ave., where parking is $1.50 an hour on a space-available basis. Please allow ample time for parking.
NEWS MEDIA SEATING: Seating for media will be reserved. Reserved seats for print media will be in the first few rows of the auditorium. A portion of the last row of McCain will be set aside for electronic media, where an audio distribution box will be available. Please contact media relations by noon Wednesday, Nov. 24, at media@k-state.edu or 785-532-2535 to reserve your seat.
CREDENTIALS: Although credentials are not required for the lecture, please bring your media identification with you in case it becomes necessary.
LIVE VIDEO/WEB ACCESS: The lecture will air live on K-State TV, channel 8 on campus and on Cox Cable in Manhattan, Ogden and Junction City.Live video and audio streaming of the lecture also will be available at http://www.k-state.edu/landon.
MEDIA AVAILABILITY/PHOTO OPPORTUNITY: A brief media availability and photo opportunity with Sebelius will be immediately after the lecture. News services staff members will direct you to the location.
