New career fair links students to jobs, internships in public service
MANHATTAN -- The first Public Service Career Fair at Kansas State University will offer students of all majors the opportunity to connect with a wide range of employers. The career fair will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, in the K-State Student Union Ballroom.
Students can visit with employers offering criminology, government, nonprofit, social work and teaching positions. Attending employers are looking to fill full-time, internship and co-op positions.
Employers attending include Corrections Corporation of America, Harvesters, Kansas attorney general's office, Kansas Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services, Pawnee Mental Health Services, Stowers Institute for Medical Research and many more. In addition, more than 30 representatives from school districts from the Midwest will be in attendance. Some employers will take part in next-day interviews, which offer an opportunity for qualified students to interview with an employer the day following the career fair.
Students should bring multiple copies of their resume and dress in business professional attire when attending the fair.
