Avionics students, faculty receive certificates at training conference
SALINA -- Two Kansas State University Salina students and a faculty member have earned technician certification in aircraft electronics.
Van Hockersmith, senior in avionics technology and mechanical engineering technology, Manhattan, and Dwayne Barber, senior in electronic and computer engineering technology, White City, received Aircraft Electronics Technician certificates from the National Center for Aerospace and Transportation Training. Michael Most, instructor of avionics technology, also received the certificate.
They received the certification at the Aircraft Electronics Association's U.S. Central Regional meeting in Dallas, Texas, earlier this fall. The meeting offered regulatory and industry training.
