MANHATTAN — The annual Kansas State University Gardens poinsettia sale from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5, will not only brighten homes and dinner tables this holiday season, but also support student worker assistants and other operations at the gardens.
The fundraising sale is organized by the Friends of the K-State Gardens, said coordinator Lori Levin, a member of the Friends board of directors. The sale takes place at the gardens' Quinlan Visitor's Center, 1500 Denison Ave., Manhattan.
A large quantity of poinsettia plants in an assortment of colorful varieties will be offered along with the traditional red varieties, Levin said.
Volunteers with the Friends of the Kansas State University Gardens organization will staff the sale.
