CAMPUS POLICE SUGGEST ALTERNATE ROUTES HOME TO AVOID GAME TRAFFIC
MANHATTAN -- The Kansas State University Police Department is recommending alternate routes when motorists leave campus Thursday afternoon.
"Due to the football game, there will be a significant number of vehicles entering the parking lots in the north areas of campus. This is expected to cause delays for traffic leaving campus at the end of the school day," said Capt. Don Stubbings of the K-State Police Department.
Stubbings said the police department recommends that motorists who travel north on Denison and College avenues during their afternoon commute use alternate routes that take them south when leaving campus. He said avoiding the intersections of Denison and Kimball and College and Kimball may reduce commuting time.
