MANHATTAN -- A workshop sponsored by Kansas State University's career and employment services will show how good manners at the dining table are important when it comes to landing a job or that next client.
The university's annual fall Dining Etiquette Workshop will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in Derby Dining Center's Gold Room. The cost is $11, or $7 for students with a university meal plan. The deadline to register is 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, at career and employment services, 100 Holtz Hall.
The workshop will cover appropriate etiquette at the dining table. Participants will engage in a variety of exercises that will guide them on how to make a positive impression when dining with employers or other business professionals.
Over a full-course meal, students will learn how to communicate effectively, network with others and how to make their dining manners shine.
Professional attire is required. Prizes will be available and participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
