Lineup set for 10th annual Friends of the K-State Libraries' Hale Library Concert Series

MANHATTAN — The Friends of the K-State Libraries at Kansas State University will celebrate a decade of the Hale Library Concert Series with a lineup of new artists and special return appearances. All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. on Hale Library's fifth floor and include wine, dessert and chocolate.

The series lineup:
• The Three K-State Tenors will appear Nov. 6. These masters of vocal performance include Kansas State University music faculty members Reginald Pittman, professor; Bryan Pinkall, assistant professor; and David Wood, director of Collegium Musicum. They will be joined by Amanda Arrington, faculty collaborative pianist.
• The Atma Trio performs Jan. 29, 2016. The chamber group includes Slawomir Dobrzanski, associate professor of music at Kansas State University, piano; Blanka Bednarz, associate professor at Dickinson College, viola and violin; and Cheung Chau, assistant professor at Utah Valley University, cello.
• On April 22, 2016, Ascendo3 will present fresh, bold interpretations of works by Vivaldi, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Gershwin, Bernstein, Lennon-McCartney and others. The Ascendo3 Trio is made up of Anna Marie Wytko, assistant professor of music at Kansas State University, saxophone; Joseph Wytko, professor emeritus from Arizona State University, saxophone; and Cameron Hofmann, professor at Baylor University, piano.
• Jazz in June, an annual crowd-pleaser, returns June 10, 2016. The Kansas State University Jazztet — Kurt Gartner, professor of music, percussion; Wayne Goins, university distinguished professor of music, guitar; Paul Hunt, professor of music, trombone; Tod Kerstetter, professor, of music, clarinet; and Gordon Lewis, instructor of music, bass — will be joined by Beau Thomas Jarvis, pianist.
