PRESIDENT KIRK SCHULZ TO DELIVER STATE OF THE UNIVERSITY ADDRESS FRIDAY
MANHATTAN -- Kansas State University President Kirk Schulz will deliver the annual State of the University address at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 24, in the K-State Alumni Center Ballroom.
Betsy Cauble, president of the faculty senate, will deliver opening remarks, touching on some of the senate's 2009-2010 accomplishments, and introduce Schulz. Cauble is an associate professor and head of the department of sociology, anthropology and social work.
Schulz will discuss highlights from the previous year and touch on the K-State 2025 initiative. He will take questions from the audience after his remarks.
The address will be streamed live at http://www.k-state.edu/facsen/sou/2010.html, and it also will be aired live on K-State TV, which is channel 8 on both Wildcat Cable and Cox Cable.
Schulz also will deliver a State of the University address on the K-State Salina campus at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 11, in the College Center conference room.
