UPCOMING SPEAKERS TO DISCUSS CAREERS THAT TAKE BITE OUT OF CRIME
MANHATTAN -- Future crime fighters and the public are invited to two free presentations by representatives from federal law enforcement agencies at Kansas State University in October.
K-State's Criminology Club is sponsoring discussions by Brooke Burger, a U.S. Border Patrol agent based in Topeka, Tuesday, Oct. 4, and by Kristopher Lewiston, an agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Topeka office, Thursday, Oct. 20. Both presentations start at 7 p.m. in the K-State Student Union's Little Theater.
The speakers will discuss how they got their jobs, what they do and the experience required. Both presentations are free and open to the public.
Criminology Club members plan more such presentations throughout the school year, with speakers also coming from state and local law enforcement agencies.
For more information about the upcoming speakers, contact Jessica Conwell, president of the Criminology Club, at jconwell@k-state.edu. The club's website is available at http://www.ksucrimclub.com.
