Robert Cray Band and Shemekia Copeland performing Sept. 22 at McCain

MANHATTAN — Five-time Grammy Award winner the Robert Cray Band, with special guest Shemekia Copeland, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, in the McCain Auditorium as part of Kansas State University's McCain Performance Series.
Cray fuses rock, soul, jazz, gospel, funk, and rhythm and blues. He has sold millions of albums over a four-decade career, and he has written or performed with such artists as Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Bonnie Raitt and Tina Turner. In honor of his work, he was inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame.
Copeland recently opened for the Rolling Stones and has scored critics' choice awards on both sides of the Atlantic. She also has shared the stage with music luminaries such as Buddy Guy, B.B. King and John Mayer.
