Alarms cause evacuation at K-State Student Union

MANHATTAN — Fire alarms have been triggered at the K-State Student Union on Thursday, Sept. 17.
Emergency crews responded and determined there was no fire. Asbestos abatement work caused the alarm system to activate. A licensed company performed the asbestos work, which has been contained and poses no threat.
Union occupants were evacuated and allowed to return to the building.
