Asad Bin Zaman
Asad is from Feni, a small city of Bangladesh. He completed his high school from Feni Government Pilot High School and Feni Government College.He obtained his Bsc in Chemical engineering degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2016. During undergrad, he did a research project on vermicomposting of solid textile ETP sludge by earthworm Eisenia Fetida.
After that he worked as process engineer in paper, sugar and fertilizer industry. Specially he was engaged with the design, erection and commissioning of Ghorasal Polash Urea Fertilizer Project (biggest in his country). He also performed as trainer of Urea process operation team for around 1 year.
In fall 2024, he started his PhD in Chemical Engineering under supervision of Dr Ryan Hansen in Kansas State University. His research is primarily focused on application of Bacillus subtilis to control wettability of sandy loam soil.
He is married with 2 kids, Tazim and Sawda. His favorite hobby is playing with them.
