Biography
Soprano Cheryl Richt is an Instructor of Voice at Kansas State University teaching studio voice.

Ms. Richt holds vocal performance degrees from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana (MM, BM), and while a student of Phyllis Bryn-Julson, was awarded the Graduate Performance Diploma in Vocal Performance from the Peabody Conservatory of Music, Baltimore, MD. While at the Peabody Conservatory Ms. Richt performed the title role in the American premier of Bononcini’s opera Camilla,

Ms. Richt has been an active recitalist throughout central Germany as the soprano soloist for the Giessener Collegium Musicum and the Braunfels Summer Festival. She was also engaged with Opera Companies in the Giessen and central Germany region. Ms. Richt was on faculty at the Frankfurt International School in Oberursel.

A dedicated teacher, Ms. Richt is an active member of the National Association Teachers of Signing (NATS), is the treasurer for Kansas NATS and the student advisor for the KSU Student NATS. Ms. Richt is also co-founder and co-coordinator of the Flint Hills Vocal Academy. Ms. Richt has a special interest in Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) and has training in Pop, Rock and Musical Theatre styles.
