AnnDee Alvidrez

Prof. AnnDee Alvidrez, hails from San Elizario, Texas. She was very fortunate that her mother opened the world of art and theatre to her at a young age. Anndee has loved expressing herself through all mediums such as poetry, dance and music. She found her biggest passion was in theatre behind the scenes.

AnnDee holds a B.A in communication, and minor in technical theatre, from Sul Ross State University. Through guidance from her mentor and support system she went on to achieve an M.F.A from Texas State University with a focus in scenic design. She has devoted her life and career as a visual artist to advocate for cultural representation and mental health awareness. A selection of shows she has collaborated and designed on are El Nogalar, Men on Boats, Dear Jack, Dear Louise, Peter and the Star Catcher, Heroes and Saints, and Fabulous Monsters.
