Biography
Melissa first studied theatre seriously while on tour with Up With People in 1998 where she toured Japan, Austria, France, Belgium, and all over the US. Melissa has worked in many different capacities in theatres in Seattle, Denver, Cincinnati, West Virginia, and all over New Mexico. In 2009, Melissa won the Peggy Ezekiel Award for Outstanding Achievement in Costume Technology for her millinery work for the opera Falstaff.
As Costume Shop Manager, Melissa teaches the sewing section of the Fundamentals of Technical Production course, instructs and supervises student labor, serves as the Cutter/ Draper for all main-stage productions, and oversees the construction and alteration of costumes.
