Facilities

The School of Music, Theatre, and Dance performance venues, rehearsal spaces, and classrooms can be found throughout the south end of K-State Manhttan's campus.

The music program, along with the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance Main Office can be found on the east side of McCain Auditorium, closest to the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art near the corner of Anderson Avenue and North Manhattan Avenue on the southeast corner of campus. Also this building is located our 1,751-seat performance hall, home to the K-State band and orchestra programs, as well as musical theatre, opera, and dance productions. The east wing of McCain features classrooms, teaching studios, practices rooms, and Kirmser Hall, an intimate recital hall which doubles as the rehearsal space for the choral program.

All Faiths Chapel, situated to the north of McCain Auditorium, plays an enormous role in the life of the music program as home to student, faculty, and guest recitals, rehearsals, classes, and more.

The theatre and dance programs are housed in Nichols Hall, the iconic “castle” of campus on Anderson Avenue. In addition to dance studios and classrooms, Nichols Hall hosts the Mark A. Chapman Theatre, home of theatre main stage productions.

Facilities can also be found in West Memorial Stadium which sits along the east side Denison Ave north of the K-State Alumni Center. On the north end you'll find the Tracz Family Band hall, home to the K-State Marching Band, the Pride of Wildcat Land. And on the south end you will find the Purple Masque Theatre, home to theatre's second stage productions, the jazz program, and the Drama Therapy Room, our laboratory/classroom in support of our drama therapy graduate program accredited by the North American Drama Therapy Association.
