Kansas State Universtiy Keyboard Division has a full day planned for keyboardists across the state. Events of the day include guest recitals, discussions about career opportunities, individual lessons and FREE LUNCH! See the descriptions of all the events below. Introduction to the Organ: Learn more about how the organ works and a basic introduction to playing techniques. Attendees who have had previous organ playing experience can have the opportunity to help Dr. Pickering teach this class if they so choose.
Careers in Music: Are you interested in pursuing a career in music but uncertain of what your options might be? This informative session, led by KSU keyboard faculty, will explore options and possibilities!
Keyboard Faculty Recital: Drs. Dobraznaki and Pickering will play various piano and organ pieces that demonstrate a wide range of tonal color and mood. Come and discover music you may or may not have heard before!
Lunch: Come and enjoy a free lunch while having a chance to socialize with fellow attendees and KSU keyboard faculty!
Individual Lessons: enjoy the opportunity receive feedback on a piano and/or organ work from KSU keyboard faculty in a free, 20-minute private lesson!
