Audition Requirements

Undergraduate

• -Solo of choice demonstrating 2 contrasting styles -OR-
• -2 contrasting etudes (lyrical and technical)
• -At least 4 scales (1 and 2 octave) and a full-range chromatic scale
  
  

Graduate

If auditioning to be a graduate student, the following materials are required

• A concerto or sonata of your choice (all movements)
• Etude #2 from Charlier's 36 Transcendental Etudes
  
• The following orchestral excerpts
• Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, Promenade
• Respighi's Pines of Rome, Offstage solo
• Mahler's Symphony No. 5, opening solo
