Auditions & Scholarships

Auditions are open to all registered students at the university, regardless of major or year in school. Scholarship funds are available in all performance areas.

Scholarships

All future music, theatre and dance students must apply for admission to K-State and for academic scholarships. The total value of an academic scholarship over four years may be worth up to $20,000 for in-state students and $65,000 for out-of-state students. Find out what type of academic scholarship you are eligible for by completing the short form. The priority deadline for undergraduate students to apply to K-State for academic scholarships is February 1.

Program Specific & Ensemble Auditions


Music

All future music majors must audition for the instructor(s) of their primary performing medium in order to be accepted into the music program. A proficiency exam will define student achievement levels in music theory and aural skills.

Theatre

Auditions are open to all registered students at the university. All K-State students, regardless of major or year in school, are considered for all roles.

Dance

Performance opportunities are available to all K-State students regardless of their major or minor for Winter Dance, Spring Dance, and Dance Student Spotlight along with two active ensembles.
