Summer Choral Institute

High school freshman, sophomore, and junior singers from across the country will spend a week with each other and our acclaimed educators in music and leadership training. All students invited to attend will receive a full scholarship for the Institute covering all expenses including food, room/board, activities, and instruction. All singers will live on the campus of Kansas State University for the duration of the Institute, study with our internationally renowned faculty in rehearsals and private lessons, attend leadership training activities including a high ropes challenge course, visit museums, and experience many other multi-disciplinary activities. The Institute culminates with a concert performance and recognition luncheon on the final day.

Due to last summer's exitement we have expanded to a full week! Designed for high school freshmen (grade level Fall 2025) through graduated seniors, join us on stage July 6-12, 2025 at Kansas State University. Voice professors and guests will guide you through intensive workshops and lessons covering vocal techniques, choreography, and acting, culminating in staged musical theatre scenes at the end of the week. The K-State Musical Theatre Camp is an all-inclusive college experience for high school students with meals, room, and activities provided. Whether you're an active performer or want to dive into the world of musical theatre, this is your chance to shine. Join us this summer as we explore Good, Bad and Broadway!

K-State Contemporary Dance Camp

The K-State Contemporary Dance Camp is an all-inclusive college dance experience for high school students. Campers will explore contemporary dance technique, conditioning, and creative practice led by K-State faculty and guest teachers, culminating in a performance. Between classes, campers will have the opportunity to experience campus life and the Manhattan community through daily activities such as bowling, movie nights, pool time, and team building exercises. Come spend four days with us on K-State’s beautiful campus in one our residence halls with meals provided!

K-State Shakespeare Camp

The K-State Theatre Shakespeare Camp is an affordable on-campus summer theatre program for high school students. The all-inclusive enrollment fee of $439 covers all activities, housing, food, theatre training, and all expenses during your stay on the campus of Kansas State University. Students will participate in many rehearsals culminating in a performance at the end of the Camp. Every bit of the day will be filled with theatre and leisure activities along with opportunities to experience campus life. No audition is required. Facilitated by a professional Teaching Artist, the ensemble will present scenes from Macbeth (June 17-21)and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (June 24-28).

String Leadership Institute

Rooted in the belief that leadership begins with connection to others, high school string students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of activities aimed at providing musical and leadership experiences that are meaningful and inspiring. For an inclusive fee of $349 covers room, meals, and activities. Students will live on the K-State campus throughout the duration of the camp and will have the opportunity to experience coachings, leadership training, team building activities, and performance opportunities.

Summer Music Camp

The Summer Music Camp is open to band students currently in grades 5 through 11. A typical daily schedule during camp includes a full group rehearsal in the morning, followed by a sectional (small group) rehearsal with instruction by a specialist. Students participate rehearsals, coachings, recitals, recreational activities at the K-State Union and the City Park Pool, and culminates with a final ensemble performance on the final day. The camp's all-inclusive fee is covering room, meals, and activities is $550; non-residence options available.

Leadership and Auxiliary Camp

The Leadership and Auxiliary Camp welcomes 8th through 11th grade drum majors, section leaders, percussionists, color guard, and dance members from all over Kansas and beyond to the KSU campus to learn conducting, leadership skills, guard technique, and percussion technique. Students at Leadership and Auxiliary Camp participate in a number of large and small group activities that help strengthen their leadership skills, teamwork, positive attitudes, and work ethic. The camp's all-inclusive fee is covering room, meals, and activities is $475; non-residence options available.
