Entry 4

Classroom learning environment is developed in a number of different ways.  First, there is the classroom itself.  While we don’t have much control over the size, shape, or location of some things in the classroom, we still have many options to set up our room in a way that is fun, engaging, and keeps the focus of the room on the students.  But this is only a mild part of the classroom learning environment.  Even if our classroom was in a parking lot, there are other things we can do to set up an environment that the students can all equally learn in.  This includes developing respect and report, encouraging student engagement and responsibility, classroom procedures, and appropriate behavior.  Through all of these things, we are able to set up a classroom that takes away distractions and fosters the growth of students cognitively, physically, emotionally, and socially.
