Progress

We must steadfastly measure our success, recognize our accomplishments, highlight our impacts and monitor and report our progress. This starts with an institutional commitment to holding ourselves accountable to this plan and our collective future.

A Focus on Progress and Impact

As we move together toward our future as a next-generation land-grant university, we must steadfastly measure our success, recognize our accomplishments and monitor and report on our progress. This starts with an institutional commitment to holding ourselves accountable to this plan and building a sustainable framework to extend this mindset across K-State. The strategic imperatives outlined in our strategic plan serve as the foundation for this commitment and what we must do at the highest level to achieve our vision. Check back regularly to learn how we are transparently communicating our progress and sharing stories of how we are using our strategic plan as a guide for positively impacting the K-State community and the state, nation and world.

K-State is leading the way as the next-generation land-grant university. Read the stories of our faculty, staff and students who are bringing this plan to a reality.

One way we will hold ourselves accountable is through tracking progress on key measures of success. Seventeen key metrics were selected to measure our progress to achieve our strategic imperative goals. In some cases, we have set targets that will become more precise as we better understand underlying data and trends. In others, we must first establish a baseline for setting targets upon which we can track progress.

Here you will find baseline data, the most recent annual data as reported by the university for each measure, our 2025 and 2030 performance targets, links to our strategic imperatives, and detailed operational definitions for each metric with source information.
