Local Scholarships
Each year, Phi Eta Sigma awards undergraduate scholarships. Recipients must have a 3.5 GPA or higher. They must also be enrolled full-time at K-State and be a member of PhiEtaSigma.
To apply, please submit a one-page letter of application (in PDF). This letter of application should provide the following information:
- your name, address, Wildcat ID number, year in school (sophomore, junior, etc.), and major and any minors (if applicable)
- current cumulative GPA
- a one-paragraph statement of one paragraph that discusses your involvement in PhiEtaSigma, such as holding an officer position, for example; your participation in other service and leadership organizations and projects; your creative ability; or/and your plans for continued academic studies
Letters of application should be sent to Hannah Bennett, Phi Eta Sigma, Faculty Advisor by March 1.
National Scholarships
For national scholarships, members must be nominated by their chapter. You can learn more about the national scholarships on the national website.
If you would like to be considered for nomination by our local chapter, please visit with the faculty advisor by March 1.
Selection Criteria:
The Scholarship Committee uses the following criteria in selecting recipients:
- High scholastic record with a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA.
- Involvement in Phi Eta Sigma
- Participation in other service and leadership organizations and project
- Examples of Resourcefulness, Innovativeness, and/or Impact
- Plans for continued academic studies
