Michael Tyburski is an Associate Professor of political science at Kansas State University. He earned his B.A. from Illinois College and both his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin—Milwaukee. Michael’s research focuses on the political implications of international migration and migrant remittances for both development and security. His work appears in the Journal of Politics, International Studies Quarterly, and Post-Soviet Affairs. Michael teaches courses on terrorism and non-traditional security topics, political and economic development, corruption, and research methodology.
