Kansas State University, like the entire Board of Regents system, has found itself on the receiving end of repeated budgetary cuts by Kansas lawmakers. The president of Kansas State says one thing that seems to get overlooked is the economic impact the system has within the state. And he says in looking at the numbers, one of the challenges facing officials in higher ed is simply getting people to believe the numbers. The K-State Radio Network’s Richard Baker reports that many feel those numbers are simply self-serving.
