This funding is intended specifically to support researchers using animals who budgeted for vivarium fees lower than those currently in effect. Maximum funding is $50K/investigator over the life of their current grant. If the PI has start-up funds, a 50% match from those funds is expected. Proposals will be reviewed monthly.
Invoices for completed work will be sent to PIs, who will review them and submit them to the Administrative Support Center (asc@ksu.edu) for partial payment. The portion of the vivarium charges that will be paid with an approved mini-grant is calculated as the fraction of the vivarium cost beyond what was budgeted, for a maximum of $50K. Retroactive reimbursement prior to current charges is not possible.
