Civil wars, terrorism, human rights, and military intervention - there is no doubt that the issues facing our world today are extensive and complex. In the Security Studies program, students explore these challenges in a uniquely diverse environment where soldiers from Fort Leavenworth's Command and General Staff College and civilians hav ethe opportunity to learn from each other.

Study under an award-winning faculty with expertise ranging from insurgency, human rights, military alliances, and security issues in Africa, East Asia and the Middle East. Graduates will obtain a strong academic foundation that prepares them for national or international work in the field or in the classroom.

If you are an advanced undergraduate student, consider applying for the Security Studies Master's degree or the concurrent Political Science Bachelor's/Master's degree program. If you are a MA student, consider applying for the online or in-person PhD program.
