Change in Circumstances

All financial and personal details must be accurate as of the date the FAFSA is submitted. However, much can happen to a student’s and/or their family’s circumstances between when the FAFSA is filed and the awarding of student aid. Fortunately, the Department of Education allows student aid offices to make specific adjustments to FAFSA data elements, Cost of Attendance components, or a student’s dependency status utilizing what is known as Special or Unusual Circumstances. K-State’s Office of Student Financial Assistance invites all students/families to visit the potential form of assistance below.
